Party This Friday

In celebration of my 24th birthday I'll be having a party at a loft in Williamsburg. Everyone is invited so please come and bring your friends.

The loft is huge and can accomodate a large amount of people. So go wild. I'd like this party to bring lots of people together for a good old fashioned apt party. But at the very least I'll be hanging out with some chill people with a bottle of tequila in one hand as I dance to the talking heads.

Come early and there will be food. Yummy treats... There will be some preliminary beer and booze but the event is definitely byob.

Directions: Take the JMZ to the Lorimer stop. You'll be on Broadway. Across the street from the bright beacon that is McDonalds is 687 Broadway. Call me and I'll let you in. I'm sure my number is easy to get, just ask someone... i hesitate to post it...

In case you need visual aid follow this link to google maps.

I hope to see you all there! I wish you guys in Cali could make it... if only.

2nd Planning Meeting

Hey party people,
I think we here in new york should have another planning meeting. Andrew is coming to visit around the weekend of May 6 - right Andrew? So I was thinking it would be great to set this up when he's here too. So once Andrew posts when he's free, let's plan for some drinks and discussion.
PS - Simon and I were in Cali this past weekend and met up with Helen, Justin, Matvey and Anya - all of whom are coming this year. Excitement about burning man was in the air.. at least my air. Justin is organizing that party in San Fran which he posted info on a while back - lots of Burning Man camps will be participating!

If you are in SF on Sunday May 1st

it's the 6th annual How Weird Street Faire.
Sunday, May 1st from Noon to 8pm centered at Howard and 12th Streets. It a great time, creative art and performances, and the practice ground for some of the best sound camps to grace Burning Man. Plus so much more. It's a requested donation of $5 in costume ($10 if not, kids free), as it's a benefit for the World Peace Through Technology Organization that I'm involved with. This year is gonna be a good one.

There will be music stages by:
Tantra/M.o.E./PsyBooty/Ceiba
El Circo/Get Freaky/Fusion
Sound of Mind/Moontribe/Xeno/Lush
Sunset/Naked Funk/Pacific Sound System
Unimog/Space Cowboys
Low Pro Lounge with capoeira and breakdancing artists
A Performance Stage by Anon Salon and Opel
and more!

For more info: http://www.HowWeird.org

peace all!
Good luck with the NYC fundraiser! Wish I could be there, it's been years since I've been to New York.

Mindstates Convention

Hey guys,
I've just gotten word that the third semi-annual Mindstates Convention is scheduled for Memorial day weekend this May. This year it will be held at the Palace of Fine Arts, otherwise known as the Exploratorium for the San Francisco connoseurs. It's kinda pricey ($250), but features three days of lectures by MD's, PhD's, artists, astral travelers, and otherwise outspoken crazy people, all surrounded by an art show. It's lecture after lecture of people taking a scientific angle to the stuff we think about when under the influence of psychedelics, and you leave with quite the renewed perspective on the world (it makes it difficult to remain skeptical anyway). Check out the list of lectures to get a taste of what they're going to talk about. The past two times there has been a market outside that was worth going to on its own, with representatives from every major herbal online supplier, mindblowing music and video for sale that you've never heard of, rediculously fantastic art reproductions, and of course the largest collection of psychedelic plants and cacti you've ever seen. Oh, and there's always been a fantastic party Saturday night which is actually sponsored this year. Last time I went it was at one of the Shulgin daughters' place and people were drinking MBDB in wine glasses (a new analog to MDMA). Needless to say, it's always been worth the price.

Should you chose to come down here for the event, your price of admission and plane ticket would include a personal escort to and from the airport, an unlimited night's stay at the fabulous Burning Man 2004 emigration point, and all the homebrew beer you can drink. Any extra time we have will be filled with a fantastic tour of town by me, your host. Call now, this offer is valid for a limited time only.

NYC FUNDRAISER

Hey all,
Can we plan to have our NYC fundrasing party on Anitha's roof on May 21?
Is everyone able to party that night? If not, what nights are good for you?
I think the weather will be great by then.
Now that our camp size has shrunk this fundraiser will be key!

Google has added satelite imagery to its mapquest clone, driving it one step closer to world domination. Check out the area around Gerlach, NV and you might be pleasantly surprised.

some bad news

Hey everybody,
I'm sorry to report that about half my entourage isn't really down with the new camp idea. Last year was a little too perfect camp-wise, and there's a general desire not to tamper with its chemistry--which I unerstand, I suppose. Rather than breaking off and joining up with a new camp, I'm going to stay with them this year. I still plan on camping near you guys, and I'm sure we'll be spending plenty of time wandering the playa together.
At any rate, I'd still like to help you guys with your fundraiser and whatever else. I'm sorry if anyone feels let down, but I gotta stick with the will of my original group.
