Sailor Dave 'n' Friends

I just got word that the ex-Post Office group wants to join our camp (about 3-5 people, I think?). For anybody who hasn't met them, hanging out with them is always a great time, whether in BlackRock or Brooklyn. I'm personally very excited to have them with us, I think they'll be a great addition to our group. Bill, you should be getting an email soon from David to setup an account.

Camo Netting

Camo Netting For Shade

A bit on the pricey side. 7 feet by 9 feet for 34 Bucks for the cool looking stuff. 8 bucks a yard for the regular stuff.

If we do have so many...

Might I suggest a different approach? If we end up in the 20's, the amount of tents under the canopy will make it hard to move between them. It got pretty crowded even as we had it last time. Moreover, two sheets of canvas and a foot of space do little to keep things comfortably quiet if any of us decide to bring a "special someone" home.

What do you say about setting up a "camo net" canopy outside of the parachute for the tents? We had an extremely large bare area of our camp devoted to the guy wires of the parachute and scaffold, over which we could easily and cheaply deploy a camo-net to protect additional tents from the sun. If anyone saw David's camp (the Post Office), they had this as their primary shade structure and it worked almost as well as our parachute. The camo net allows wind to go through so it doesn't need to be massively secured, and it will keep our tents from the sun almost as much as the parachute.

The point is this: with over 20 people, we could open up our parachute to be a pure "Elation Station," devoid of the Sedation from the tents. If we bring a generator, we can pump music and lights without having to worry as much about keeping people up. Thoughts?

Population Control.

How many people do you think we can handle with our current setup?

Clearly more than 14, as we had tons of room in the tents, and probably space to set up 2 more fairly large tents as well. I think we could get as big as 25 without having to develop a secondary shade structure. Plus the more people we have, cheaper the fee everyone will have to pay for the camp will be lower... I say the more the merrier.

What do you think?

Comments Work!!!!!

I hope. All you have to do is just enter the numbers in the little picture in the available box.

I'll try and make it a little bit more intuitive, and have an explanation somewhere nearby. Hopefully we'll be spam free.

Tickets

I received tickets in the mail today, and they're nice. How many people have already purchased tickets?

Plus, what are we doing for the camp this year?

Monica and I are starting to work on the mobile speakers.
