I found a place to rent scaffolding.
one 20 foot tower for $160 a week. and an additional 10 foot tower for 110 a week.
That means we could get 30 foot tower. for 270. Not bad.
12905 Old Virginia Rd. 775-852-2722
reno, nevada.
160 per week 20 foot
if anyone can find it for cheaper, please let me know.
Cheers,
Bill
Where are you? I've been struggling with trying to find someplace that will rent us scaffolding.
Please look it up in your yellow pages and make a few calls, or else email me and i can make a few calls we need to rent 3 or 4 sections for a little over a week.....
Cheers,
Bill
Ok, guys, its time to actually put into action what we've been discussing and debating for months. first thing, we need our ground plan. last i remember, Bill, you were gonna do this. We need that before we can register. I hear y'all had a great time at Camp Cromie (and man, i wish i coulda been there), but now that you're back, is the ground plan a feasible thing for you to do within the next week?
Before Bill can make a definite ground plan, we also need to be sure what things we want to offer at the camp that will have to be on the plan. so now is the time to speak up. I feel so out of the loop down here in va, so i'm hoping you guys can work something out up there.
Bill- also, i know this is months away and i'm not askin for an answer anytime soon, just thought i'd re-throw the idea out there of you driving with me cross this crazy country. we'll stay updated with each other on that.
Other than that, i have little else to say down here. if anyone wants to come visit me on the coast, just let me know... the weather is significanty better here...and i'd love to have you!!
Could you do me a huge favor,
I'm looking for a construction supplies rental company in San Fran. Could you please look one up in the yellow pages? the internet is not being very useful. I found three telephone numbers but all of then didn't work.
Thanks!!!!!
So i'll be able to jump into this whole burningman thing in full.
Let's get cracking and make this awesome!
Hey this is completely early for this but I just did a SF Craigslist search for "Burning Man" and came up with several postings of people like this who are looking for camps to associate with. If August fast approaches and we don't have the proper funds, we could consider bringing random people in. I'm sure a craigslist ad for a $100 camp would get plenty of replies. Personally, I think we should do this anyway because we'd meet new people and probably get some fresh ideas, but we should at least know that this option exists as insurance in case people start bailing out.
Hello there. This is a much-needed communication and I would really like everybody to read it and think about this. I apologize in advance for distracting NYU students from their diligent studies before final finals.
So, as was stated in previous postings, it turns out that there are other camps that will be addressing the recess theme. I went to the registered theme camp page for 2004, and I found the following two theme camps with the following descriptions:
1) Stoke'n'Poke's
Toys for all ages. Ride the Giant Teeter Totter, climb the Castle and Slide back down, jump on the Trampoline with Safety-Net, play 3D Naked Twister, dance on the Disco Dancefloor to live music in the Dome (musicians invited).
2)The Temple of Joyous Laughter
The Temple of Joyous Laughter. An interactive playground full of simple childhood joys. Ring toss, horse shoes, hop scotch, volley ball, a fishing well and whatever other games we can come up with. (anyone for tag?) Popcorn, spin art and lots of coloring and other art supplies. Come play with us!
By the say, theme camp descriptions can be found here.
So, I was wrong in my primary assesment about the theme camp with the cool monkey bars. That was cool, and different, and not related to us. However, the two aforementioned theme camps are quite similar to our idea and the only thing that's really different is the lemonade stand.
So, given that the lemonade stand is a fact of life and will be present in our camp regardless of the overall theme, I think that we need to re-asses our theme. We might want to do something else and completely different from the recess/playground theme?
This is just a suggestion, but I think that we need to get on it, address it, and register for theme-camp status.
Please discuss!.
